WHY WE EXIST

Porn Free Shame Free is dedicated to speaking the truth of the gospel into the lives of men, students, and families so they can walk in freedom from the chains of pornography and other sexual sin. One often runs to things like pornography to find love, acceptance, or intimacy. The pursuit of porn can often leave one feeling shame and fear.

We want men, students, and families to experience real love so they can walk in freedom.

STATS

The National Center on Sexual Exploitation says:
  • 64% of young people, ages 13–24, actively seek out pornography weekly or more often.
  • Teenage girls and young women are significantly more likely to actively seek out porn than women 25 years old and above.
  • A study of 14- to 19-year-olds found that females who consumed pornographic videos were at a significantly greater likelihood of being victims of sexual harassment or sexual assault.
  • A Swedish study of 18-year-old males found that frequent users of pornography were significantly more likely to have sold and bought sex than other boys of the same age.
  • A 2015 meta-analysis of 22 studies from seven countries found that internationally the consumption of pornography was significantly associated with increases in verbal and physical aggression among males and females alike.
  • A recent UK survey found that 44% of males aged 11–16 who consumed pornography reported that online pornography gave them ideas about the type of sex they wanted to try.

According to One American Church Denomination:
  • 9% of girls and 15% of boys have seen child porn
  • 18% of girls and 32% of boys have seen bestiality
  • 23% of girls and 39% of boys have seen sexual bondage online
  • 57% of girls and 83% of boys have seen group sex online
  • 28% of 16 to 17-year-olds have unintentionally been exposed to porn online
  • 71% of teens hide online behavior from their parents
  • 60% of girls are exposed to porn before 18
  • 90% of boys are exposed to porn before 18
